About The Sweet Read
Welcome to The Sweet Read, your local source of fine daily baked goods, coffee & tea! The Sweet Read was a long time in the making. We wanted to create a hometown bakery and bookstore where everyone could gather and play chess, read a book, have a book club meeting, read to their children, or have a quiet moment to formulate a thought in today’s hyper-fast world. We wanted a place where no one had to settle for institutional, flavorless baked goods. Life is too short to eat bad desserts or read a bad book! We think we have accomplished what we wanted and now have the real thing — a neighborhood bakery where everything is made in house with fresh ingredients — some healthy, and some decadent.
